The closure of respite and day care facilities in Congleton and Crewe

"We the undersigned demand that before the day care centres in Congleton (Mountview) and Crewe (Lincoln House) are closed, Cheshire EastCouncil will provide suitable replacements that are:

  1. Situated in Congleton and Crewe respectively;
  2. Easily accessible for those wanting to use it and their carers;
  3. Adequately equipped with areas and space for activities, socialising and the consumption of food;
  4. Fully compliant with the Equalities Act;
  5. Affordable by those who need the service;
  6. Properly resourced with sufficient capacity and professional staff to meet current and projected needs; and
  7. Fully accountable with clear lines of responsibility and procedures for the management of complaints, disputes and an appeals process, including refusals of admittance.
