Liberal Democrats fight against Whopping Price Rises for Home & Day Care

Conservative-controlled Cheshire County Council have forced through a tough budget this year. The Council Tax has gone up by 4.94% (an extra £45 a year for a band D property.)

Meanwhile Social Services charges for the elderly and vulnerable see a massive rise - DAY CARE CHARGES UP 87% - from £13.37 per day to £25 per day

Care Price Rises - Yet another attack on those least able to defend themselves

HOME CARE CHARGES UP 77% from £9.26 per hour to £16.46 per hour.

Liberal Democrat Councillors fought hard against these whopping increases but were outvoted by the Conservatives.

Councillor Simon Davey says, "This is yet another attack on those least able to defend themselves."
