Charles and Sarah Kennedy with baby Donald

Simon Davey, County Candidate for Congleton West has sent congratulations on behalf of the team at Congleton Lib Dems, to Charles Kennedy on the birth of Donald James early this morning.

"With 'baby day' finally here Charles will find it hard to stop smiling. This is the most important day in his life and will only serve to boost his enthusiasm and resolve to take our party to new heights on May 5th. Charles and Sarah are understandably absolutely delighted."

"Charles will take the reigns again shortly but in the meantime Menzies Campbell will fulfil Charles' campaign duties" Simon said.
