Liberal Democrat Candidate for Congleton welcomes Announcement of General Election Date

Dr Peter Hirst, Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate for Congleton welcomes the announcement by the Prime Minister that the General Election will be held on Thursday, 6th May.
"At last, the electorate will have the opportunity to cast their vote and tell the Parties what they think of them." He says.
"I am confident that as Election Day approaches the Liberal Democrat support will rise as voters learn more about our policies and see our Leader in action.

"The country is tired of this Labour government that has failed on its promises of decreasing inequality and presided over the deepest recession for 70 years. It evidently does not trust David Cameron's Conservatives to get us out of this mess.
"Only the Liberal Democrats have the policies to take us out of this quagmire and build a fairer and more sustainable future."
