Baroness Ros Scott, who is President of the Party, was the guest of honour at Congleton Liberal Democrat's Annual Dinner on Saturday. It was held at The Bank Corner in Alsager. Guests listened to Ros telling us about her rise from a non-voter to President in less than 10 years.
Commenting, Dr Peter Hirst Parliamentary Candidate for Congleton says, "It was a great honour to have the President of the Party at our Annual Dinner. She delighted all our members with her informal style and enthusiasm.
"She told us that we were the only Party left with principles and that we must be more assertive in informing the public of this.
"Baroness Scott is a huge asset to the Party. She brings warmth, intelligence and wisdom. She thinks the electorate are scared of the Conservatives getting control and yet are fed up with Labour." He concludes. "I entirely agree with her."
